This is the car's second track outing since its conversion to a dedicated track car. Currently the car is running a naturally aspirated 2.7 liter M20 engine with the standard Motronic aided by a piggyback computer for fine tuning (tuned by SAVSPEED).

@whatt18yahoo My E30 has become substantially faster than it was in this video due to stroking the engine from 2.7L up to 3.1L. The 540's engine is being rebuilt and will have more boost and an intercooler. It will be interesting how the cars stack up against each other in future.

@acroracing The E30 has the original M20 series BMW 6 cylinder engine with a 2.7L capacity. The 540i has its original 4.0L V8 engine with a bolt-on, non-intercooled supercharger boosting roughly 8psi (0.5bar).

i still love e34, i had an e30 for a few years and still have a special place in my heart for the e30 but come on who expects an e34 to do that? thats why it's awesome. look at my videos and you might see what i mean
