The 1976 version caused 9/11. Al Qaeda was watching a bootleg of it, and decided they needed to kill Kong. Fuck that movie.

It's hated simply because its different. Theirs no Dinosaurs included, and Kong himself doesn't have that charm as lets say the '33 and '05 versions had. It's not a bad film, however out of the 3, it would get ranked last in my opinion. However, I'd still take it over King Kong Lives, and King Kong vs. Godzilla, those are just cheesy B-Movies..
