(Formerly titled "Loch Ness Monster?". Scroll down for revelation.) Video shot on the Alaska Peninsula--home of the legendary Lake Iliamna Monster. Alaska Native lore speaks of Ilie through the annals of time, with recent reported sightings. To this day, Native kayakers will not look into the waters of Iliamna, for if you can see your reflection, Ilie can see you. Skeptics believe Illie is a large fish or wayward sea lion. [PS--7/2/07: I ("webmaster") didn't know what Nick had shot, but now I do. When someone confirms it precisely, so will I. Unfortunately, she is not Ilie.] (Retrospective (1-26?-08): Though the legend rings true, the creature in question is indeed an otter. A river otter to be exact. Many said "otter", lending some confusion due to the more familiar though quite unique "sea otter". The vid only remains up for your entertainment and grins. Should it? I believe it's been a fun and compelling experience for all. :)

  • I want this video on my 7020 unit.

  • @bdood1995 If moron otters aren't that big, what kind of otters are? And how do you know how big it is? There is nothing in the video to give a good sense of scale to the creature's size. It does look exactly like an otter. Check out the shape and coloration of the neck.
