I agree. I saw that in another video on YouTube and thought it was clever.
Captain Hammer is supposed to be a buff guy, though... In the laundremat scene he says, "I don't go to the gym - I'm naturally like this". I don't think this guy could pull that line off...

I love Dr. Horrible's voice in this, but not really Penny...
-
How did you get permission to do this?
-
@JustinWillyams You can't expect everyone to have the quality of voice that neil patrick harris has. I thought this Doctor did wonderfully and really held his own. I only wish they picked a much 'sweeter' personality and character for Penny.
*here's a hanky for the tear* :) Whedonians stick together!

Of course, my mistake. I meant "mezzo." :-) Thanks!
-
not the best singing i'dd heard but it's partly because you over sung a large amount of them
-
@CPcast Uh, Penny is supposed to be an alto.
-
Sorry mate, but both the doctor and Penny are quite a bit flat in the "plain to see" song. Nevertheless, so far I'm digging certain aspects of your production!
-
God, the girl playing Penny can't sing at all, and from what I've seen in the other parts, the guy playing Dr. Horrible has the character all wrong.
-
this is horrible!!! ((no pun intended, this is really really bad))

@bsnarski Dalitophinn is one of the few people who's not bashing this, why're you disagreeing with them?
I'm enjoying the show btw
Penny might be a sweet soprano in the original, but part of the beauty of theatre is being able to make a piece your own- without altering the original content. I thought this was done beautifully, Penny's character was portrayed with a strong passion. Bravo ;)

Penny is an alto in the original, not a soprano at all.

Did you guys get to have a vocal coach? Dani Wharly has a strong, beautiful voice but it seems to me she's singing somewhat harshly for Penny. Any microphones?

Penny's Alto part is often too low for Dani, who is a Soprano. Unfortunately, Mics might have been a bit much in the Black Box at Trinity College, which we have configured here to seat only about 85 people. Also, I frankly couldn't afford them on my budget.
