yeah, I made that connection too. *sigh*
last awesome JRPG's I played were tales of vesperia,
and star ocean: the last hope. both a few years old now.
I know japan has had some serious problems recently,
but it seems like it's been a LONG time since a big JRPG
came out. XIII was okay, but not great.
oh well, guess we'll just have to enjoy western games.

@Rougamaru I wouldn't count on it. It looked like some of ripoff of ToS2 (which wasn't that great).

I mean, they all whine about things, peaople mostly, through out the game.
lightning & snow=sarah. hope=nora. sazh=dajh. vanille=sarah & fang. fang=vanille.
let's face it, the story and dialog is definitely one of the weaker things in this game.
hopefully they'll fix that with 13-2. I for one, only remain cautiously optimistic though.

@Rougamaru I didn't mean fighting wise. Snow wouldn't stfu about whining about Sarah all of the time, and Hope wouldn't stop whining in general (that scene before his eidolon fight was just rediculous even for a jrpg.)

@jayhow92 I can't agree with that. gadou and lebreu rocked.
however, snow, while being the worst damage wise in regards to magick, and limited as a medic or sabatur, had the highest HP, the second highest str, was the best sentinal, tied with fang for being the best commando, and was a solid synergist, overall powerful, just underutilized.
hope had the lowest HP and str, but was the single best mage in a game where mages simply matter more than fighters due to the chain gauge.
they both rock.
