  • @all028 uhm...Larry's argument was that Micrsoft was going to put AOL out of business...it was Google that made AOL irreverent.

  • aol is dwindling not because of anything microsoft is did, but what they didn't do. They are terrible at keeping up with the times.They tried to cling to lousy dialup when everyone switched to broadband. They never changed their business. And nobody uses AIM anymore because it just wasn't as good as the other clients like yahoo, MSN (live).

  • Larry ellison and Steve jobs are amazing. Both predicted the bundling of IE into windows would destroy Netscape. It happened. Now look at AOL slowly dwindling away...

  • And here we are in 2009 and look at AOL's user decline. It is reported since 2002, AOL has had no quarterly growth. Time Warner announced it is seperating AOL into a seperate company by the end of 2009.

    Larry Ellison's prediction is coming true!
