Katalin Schafer - Video Selection 2011

Katalin Schäfer Top Dancer has been dancing for more than 20 years now and she started her path with classical ballet from Endre Jeszenszky in his Ballet Institute. After 10 years of ballett she became familiar with other types of dances, from jazz-ballet to flamenco, but the real breakthrough arrived in her life in the year of 2000 when she started to specialize herself on oriental dance.

Her unique style and performances touched by modern dances and creative ideas are now became more and more known.

She won the 2nd place in 2005 at Ahlan Wa Sahlan Festival in Cairo
and the „Art of Orient" Group awarded the best group prize.

In 2006 she established the EFFENDI Arabic Folklore Theatre Company.
She directed many Folklore Shows decorated by Egyptian, Lebanese, Syrian, Saud Arabian, Alexandrian and Nubian dances.

2009: She became the bellydance costume designer of the year.

2010: She founded her own costume label, SCH-Fashion which is becoming more and more famous world-wide.
She have started her international career as a teacher, invited to many Festivals in cities like:
Marrakech, Istanbul, Toronto, Reykjavik, Mexico, Athens, Thessaloniki, Tallin, Berlin, Vienna, Bordeaux... etc.

From 2011 she is a Regular Teacher of the Mediterranean Delight Festival in Morocco
and She is the Art Director and Organizer of Orient Dance Universe Festival & Competition (Turkey).
