5 yrs old with my dad under the stairs of the apartments watching the worst of it. We were staying in over in Shalimar, FL. Dumb yes but my dad loved the weather, I do too. :) Not the destruction though... I still live in Shalimar.
we lived on the ala/ga. i/20 line then in tallapoosa,ga. i remember being up all night that night...very scary! i tried to go to work the next morning 5 different ways,all blocked by fallen trees....never seen so many trees down in my life...lots of folks out of power for weeks! it was an xp! thanx for sharing, i actually remember being glued to twc til the cable,then the power went out...

when Opal hit Montgomery the wnds were down to 90+ MPH... still did a lot of Damage
