R.I.P. Mr. Gil Scott-Heron. (Brother Prophet)
-
@sanacido2 it said "the meanest creature"
-
@raveralldayer If it wasn't for this man's influence, we wouldn't have the Hip Hop genre or the modern feel of today's soul music. He's definitely a legend up there with John Lennon, Bob Dylan, and 2Pac. One of the greatest performing artists of his generation and a strong force on the influence of today's music.

The modern African american edgar allan poe. Rip Gil Scott Heron. ur words remain a legend
-
for people's interest, the lyrics for this song is the same as another one by Gil Scott Heron called the 'vulture'
got a very different way of singing it and the music and all.
I like this version of it much better though, I think it captures the feel of the song better

"the ghetto was the home of the meanest creature ever known"
the meanest creature is referring to the vulture
-
The strings with the percussions remind me of Requiem for a dream soundtrack
-
"RIP GSH...and we do what we do and how we do because of you" - Chuck D
this man must never be forgotten. he is as timeless and relevant as any moment in american history.
