I love this song purely for the guitar performances in it. I also take time to note that the idea behind this song is the use of psychedelic drugs as noted by such lines as "Look at the colors!" With that in mind, it's interesting to think about the effects used on the guitar and bass to simulate or enhance the experiences of said drugs.

@iheartmushrooms84 Lol that's true if you value lyrics more than the music.
Well that's not to say you can't appreciate the new music more either. But I'm just saying the reason I and a lot of other people like the older stuff better is because the musicality of the band was top notch. This song especially. It's so wild, loose and unpredictable. This is very impressive especially considering how young they were.
That being said I love their new stuff as well.
