How to Throw a New Year's Eve Party | Pottery Barn

Food and champagne are the most significant elements of a perfect New Year's party. It is often a case that the host of the party hardly gets to enjoy the fun. Decorator and entertainment expert, Nathan Turner takes us to his New Year's party where he has set up a champagne bar and he shows how to enjoy the occasion to the hilt despite being the busy host.

One classic way is to use a wide ice bowl to keep champagne bottles chilled and ready on the table. Another idea is to arrange goodies and snacks using multi-tiered food stands. This way the only work that you will be have to do during the party is to keep replacing the empty bottle with new ones.

Nathan places fresh flowers and leaves in the Bosphorus Glass Vases from Pottery Barn which is available in different shapes and levels. He also covers the stems of flowers by using little pears inside his vases. He says that adding little personal touches here and there that truly show the effort of planning a great New Year's Party. This adds color and interest to the party setting and also gives it a classic festive appeal.
