A social gest to the UCI Art Administration. It reads, ' I should not ask permission for art." not 24 hours later i was notified to remove it.
this is a social gest performance piece done for Visual Culture 1C.
it involves me writing the line "I should not ask permission for art" around the UCI art campus. The piece comments on the dynamics of both the actual teaching of the arts themselves, and the art campus in regards to the entire university. One thing to keep in mind is the difference between "should" and "wont".
