This is another test ( will be deleted soon) Trying out cs4 with my camera's AVCHD format, and if you know this highly compressed HD format will bring even a Core i7 to its knees. So I'm trying out different bit rates, luma key, and codecs.
A longer video is to come, so please comment. Enjoy

  • How did you end up with 9gig of ram?

A core i7 920 (don't need extreme) with 8 gig and a good HDD set up should be able to handle the format without converting with cs4. I forgot if vegas has a draft preview but it would be impossible to edit full quality otherwise. Of course the output is 1080.

Wait till March 2010 when the i9 comes out to buy the i7. Or if you have $1000 to spend on a CPU, buy the i9(32nm, 6 logical and 12 HT cores= faster than real time hd rendering)

    Thanks for the comment

  • I'm using a Panasonic AG-HMC 150 and now I have convert the files to do the editing. i want to upgrade to i7 extreme using vegas pro with 9 gig of ram. Do you think it will be enough to edit uncompress mts?

  • dude that was pretty. more scenic driving plz.

  • amazing work, keep it up man....i miss nashville :(

  • Hey buddy, looks good so far. I'd suggest you speed up the clouds on the hood a bit more to make them more noticable, and maybe fade into and out of black with the close up shots.
