Metroid Prime: Part 3 (Chozo Ruins)

To the Shrine! The Beetles' relentless attack and the burning hot drone!

Mario and Zelda took to 3D like ducks to water. Metroid, I think, did too. Prime was such a natural step into 3D for the series. It managed to retain the Metroid gameplay while adding new elements. In terms of gameplay, Prime is almost literally Super Metroid in a first-person perspective. Think about it! Also, did you know that it was Shigeru Miyamoto's idea to make Prime a first-person game (it was originally going to be third-person)? The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was also going to be in the first-person perspective originally. Miyamoto believes that the perspective is better for exploration.

Notice more has been added to the music after finding the Morph Ball? Chozo Ruins was the only region to have that I think. Here's the full Chozo Ruins theme, along with the "depths" theme.

The Missiles make for great crowd control when fighting the Beetles. Unless of course you run out like I did. There's not much to get with the drone, just avoid the flames, kill the wasps and blast the drone's core when it pops up.
