From WTOP Washington and Klein&, the second wave of One and Only promos for Eyewitness News talent. These were quite hot and energetic for their time, when Channel 9 was the unchallenged news leader in DC. Promos are for Henry Tenenbaum, Susan King, Gordon Peterson, Pat Collins, Sonny Jurgensen, Gordon Peterson, Mike Buchanan, Mike Wolfe, Max Robinson and Maureen Bunyan. Mike Wolfe is a little remembered sports anchor, who had the unfortunate timing to be between sports legends Warner Wolf and Glenn Brenner.

  • What was Sonny Jurgensen's role at WTOP, because I know after retiring from the NFL, he called games at CBS for a few years before becoming the color guy for Redskins radio broadcasts?

  • Sonny was the NFL analyst on Mondays, co-hosted the local postgame show Redskin Sidelines as well as the Sunday pregame Countdown to Kickoff. He also did some fill in anchor work on weekends.
