@laylalax Outside of the criteria I listed in my response ... it's a mystery. New England boarding schools have very selective admissions offices and it's not really known why they might choose one kid over another. The best advice I can give you is to work hard and to participate in activities that might distinguish you from other candidates. Beyond that you just need to be lucky, even siblings of attending students have difficulty getting in. Best of luck
@laylalax It's arguably the best high school in the country. It's also incredibly hard to get into. Typically you need nearly impeccable grades, a diverse resume of extracurriculars, SSAT scores in the uppermost percentiles and a lot of luck. But the hard work required to get in is definitely worth it

I'm considering going to Deerfield as a freshman in 3 years. Is it a good school?
