This is about as close as you can get to playing exactly how Stone plays the song without having Stone tab it out. I know this through years of watching videos, practicing, finding the right elements, and even from the man himself.

I did this in 1 quick take, there's one slight mistake, coming out of the bridge (I usually use a volume pedal for gain control) but for the sake of the video, I plugged directly into my amp.

My name is Seth Dolled and I'm also in No Code, a NJ based Pearl Jam tribute band (http://www.nocodejam.com) and The Fifth, an original rock outfit (http://www.thefifthrocks.com). I hope to do more of these videos as I've noticed a lot of other people and PJ tribute bands play the songs differently. I try the most accurate approach as possible. Feedback is welcome.

  • @RSIxProductions Clearly you spent years in school to find the exact grammar to use while trying to insult someone. You also have your facts wrong. Once again I will reiterate that Mike McCready played the solos, not Stone. Good luck in all of your future endeavors.

  • Its the stone gossard part not mike mccready that's why i didn't include the solo

  • man, please oh plesae...post a tutorial. I know it might take a minute. and you don't even have to do the main lick because it is all over youtube. but the course part with the chords in the middle of the neck and in melody combined to it is great...I'm a PJ fan and I know the solo easy. but the melody part is as important if not more. please take the time to do it....YOU ROCK

  • Very well! tabs please!

  • there's no ''How You Should Be'' in rock, also there's no point to sound exactly like the original version... the good thing about covers is play on your way, of course respecting the essence of the music...

  • Good god you'd got some kickass distortion going on there. Great tone and playing.

  • got the exact same guitar as you :P plays good

  • So beautiful
