  • this song and this clip are beautiful and all involved should be proud for delivering such a beautiful peice of art that can and will be discovered over and over

  • Love your arrangement. Something so kiwi about it.

  • Totally underrated band. This was amazing!

  • I am so proud of Clarinet Donald for being involved in this - it is one of my favourite NZ songs!! But OMG... that's not Reuben de L under the perm is it?!

    Merry Christmas,

guess who (I play all the same instruments as you and live in Central Auckland) ;)

  • Graeme sang lead on a few tunes- The Cliff, Evil BBQ, SOS (sped up via studio technology on the recording so it sounds like a woman) and Dilleen (I think) come to mind. Peter did most (but not all) of the singing early on, that's true.

  • the guy who sings this sounds like the guy who sings every song on cuppa tea and hey spinner at least...

  • Superb, thanks for that. Really enjoy the drumming on this track.

  • Red shirt, Black jacket? That's Ron Young who sang backing on this one, and did lots of sound effects/backing noises etc on a pile of "pre-sampler" era gear. At the time this was made I was offended not to be asked to be in it (I played clarinet and did the string arrangement) but when I see how underemployed Ron looks, I'm quite happy I wasn't standing around with him trying to feel important.

  • Leslie is on the organ, Graeme on piano, Craig on drums, Jane on Bass, Peter playing guitar and singing... and Ron doing backing singing. Reuben DeLautour is playing first vln (the other string players shown, Alice on vln and don't remember who on cello, didn't play in the recording but just appear in the video).

  • Peter Keen is doing most of this singing in this tune- Graeme Humphries did sing on many AT songs both as the lead and backing.
