Detailed video information below, please read:

DEMONSTRATION: EBow
SETTINGS: Harmonic Mode
ADDITIONAL PEDALS: Digitech Whammy Pedal
GUITAR: Lap Steel & Ibanez RG2228 (8 String)
AMP: Line 6 Flextone II & Line 6 Flextone III XL
SONG: Trephine by Vinyl Future

This is a demonstration of the EBow Plus (Electronic Bow). I am using a Lap Steel guitar in conjunction with the EBow and a metal Slide. I also use a Digitech Whammy Pedal set to one octave below to add depth to the sound, along with some reverb and delay produced by the onboard effects of the Line 6 amplifier.

If you have any questions or if you wish to request a specific demonstration of any of the equipment shown in the video, feel free to contact me through youtube or email me at my bands website at:

  • Hi there Craig !

Nice moving piece and doesn't look too complicated to play. I'm just starting out on slide + ebow and would appreciate a few tips on your effect / amp settings to create this type of music, as I'm a real big fan of Pink Floyd and would love to play this style of music.

    Best Wishes . . . Eddie ( U.K.)

  • Start off with a nice clean tone, add some reverb and an analog delay, experiment with using a volume pedal for swells. Using alternate tunings on the lap steel will help close the gap between notes and octaves on the fret board

  • i bought your bands EP you guys definately deserve it

  • Thank you very much for buying the EP. Hope you enjoy it. It was done on a budget so the mastering isnt 100% but sounds ok. Thanks again

  • Could I ask the tuning of your lap steel?

  • I jump between a few tunings on the lap steel depending on what I am playing. When playing rock and blues I tend to stick to standard open tunings like open G, A and D. But when doing this sort of stuff the tunings become abit more bizarre and individual to each song I am playing. I think in this tune its a weird G tuning.

  • Infernal Hail from OBNOUNCE, i just love my Ibanez RG2228 8-string guitar using Bareknuckle Aftermaths...

  • Lot nicer than a lot of the bits that feature ebow usage around these parts...

  • this should be on Kid A.

  • the best thing in this vid is the TSHIRT

  • I like this. Sounds nice.

  • right on, marvelous tonal communication. kudo's on the 8(i have a pair)

  • Evokes feelings of longing, of love lost, remembered.

Solitude and time, such poignant lovers.

  • @Sixalienasa an 8 stringed guitar that sounds like a piano?! =o
