Today I go through a range of camera support options, from pocket tripods, gorillapods, lightweight through to heavy duty professional tripods.

What should you be looking at, and what will suit your requirements?

  • Would love to know your thoughts on the monopods. I haven't heard you talk about them? For me personally if I am shooting in my studio and either doing a commercial model shoot they can really take the weight off my arms over a extended period of time but keep a consistent height.

  • @LannyNov interesting, never considered for studio work. I rarely use them, black rapid takes the weight when I am not shooting, and for now anyway, I am accustomed to the weight.

  • @thatnikonguy Matt, do you have an email address for sending in questions?

  • @jonask9 Hi there - please post any questions you have on a video comment - like here. I cannot respond to all the emails I get, I try to respond to all comments though - and you will also get other viewers giving opinions too. Cheers!

  • How do u feel about battery grips for entry level dslrs like d5100

  • @dbaber07 if you do long days of shooting, especially in portrait orientation, is worthwhile. I think a lot of people just buy them for show though.

Suggest getting the nikon brand one - especially if using on tripod - generall the most rigid.

  • What would you recommend for a good all round VERY sturdy tripod for around $300-400au. It will be supporting a 60D with up to a 250mm lens.

  • Matt the links madcat98 mentioned are still not there. Just so you know :)

  • I love ur vids I was looking for a tri pod for night exposures an I wasblookjng at the manfro compact because of the low price u should review some low budget bags like as low as case logic and tell what good about them or y it should b better to wait and save for a more expensive bag

I'm new to photography I just got a NIKON d5100
