@mattmollysdad Hi, I was just wondering how did she taught Japan to respect Chinese women? I mean, is it a result of the topic of the songs she sang or was there more? I'm really curious so if you can spare a few minutes to tell me, it would be much appreciated.

@mattmollysdad Thank you for your insight. The more I listen to Teresa Teng, the more I admire, adore, respect her. To me, she truly was the greatest singer in recorded human history. Her incredible voice, linguistic skill, and sweet, humble, sincerity, touches all cultures, races, at the very core of the soul. I mourn her passing and pray her music and legacy continues for time and eternity.

@Keio007 She is from Taiwan her parents came from China
Teresa Teng was the greatest singer in recorded music history. I'm a Texas cowboy, 61, and grew up on Elvis, Johnny Cash, the Beatles, C+W singers. NONE of them, NONE are even close to Teresa. She was an angel, charming, beautiful, precious, incredible woman, as well as singer. I just discovered her 3 months ago, and remain totally stunned, blown away, awed..There are no superlatives in English to fully describe her greatness. I only wished I'd heard her sing in person. God Bless her always!

I'm 65 short white old man who lived in Taipei, Hong Kong, Seoul n Osaka for around 15 years in the 70s n 80s. As for a unifying China force... I don't know. Your talking about unifying Chinese people with Chinese people... but what I saw, what I know for certain is that she single handedly taught Japan to respect not only Taiwan but Chinese women. That's huge! Asia is a much better place for that.
