  • @slashingraven one of the stage hands dropped the dummy that was replacing the original mummied person. that was the thump. he was rushing to set it up before the camera panned out again.

  • @slashingraven i personally thought it was because he was so enthousiastic to tell what the mummy guy had done wrong

  • - Case dismissed!

    - ... Case dismissed my lord?

    - Oh, all right, 5 years !

    - Thank you my lord

    ^^

  • @lordwalden Possibly, but after watching this again 3 months later, I noticed that in the very next shot around 3:45, the neck of the mummy-person has a lot more wrap around it than it did in previous shots.

  • @slashingraven

Terry says: 'In your own words', then Michael Palin starts reading a text from a book...then apparently the audience was laughing so hard even he couldn't help laughing himself :D

  • Did the mummy guy's head fall off or something? Around 3:36 there's a thump, and then everyone in the audience starts laughing at apparently nothing. Terry Gilliam is grinning in the background, and Michael Palin starts to loosen up toward the end of the shot like something's gone wrong enough to stop the scene.
