For this weeks photo of the week(s) we take a look at a photo shoot where I was the subject. It has been a long while since I went out on an actual photo shoot to get some new photos of me. I have been in need of some new promo / press shots for use online and my web site or for speaking gigs.

Be sure to stay tuned for the end where I give you some insight on how you could charge for a similar shoot.

It is always tough to find someone to photograph you when you are a photographer. But I felt really confident in what Adam Lerner would capture. He has a style that is pretty similar to mine. I have for a long time been looking for photos of me that look like I took them.

  • @JaredPolin Again, 4:24 I noticed .. 2500 ISO and 1/400th of a second.. wouldn't he be able to reach such a high shutter with lower ISO? And it's also at f/2.8. I've searched through your videos and watched them, but I can't find any video that explains the high ISO in broad daylight. Is it simply enough to get the right shutter speed?

  • @se7enelements I dont mind hi-iso if im trying to get the shutter speed im looking for. So yes i could lower it but dont have to with the d3s. I have a video coming up where i shoot a concert with one lens and stay 1600 and below.

  • Did you or Adam edit these photos?

  • @5Sportfreak5 i edited the RAW files as he had a shoot in Ireland.

  • Photos look great, did he use any flashes/reflectors? How would *you* position them if you did?

  • @eleventhphotograph nope no flash no reflectors, straight on and boom.

  • @JaredPolin Thanks man! Just wonderin' if it's gonna be noise or not when I'm using a 550D and using the same settings as yours. I've learned so much watching your videos! Keep them coming, Fro! (My name's Frool, so I'm almost a "Fro", too, but without the hair)

  • Well i bet your a lonely nerd with no life at all

  • You're a fuckin goofy fag. You look soooo gay, it's rediculous. Also, you're so fuckin homely it isn't even funny. You think you look good in these photos? You're soft as a grape and delusional.

  • Awesome video as usual! You make a really good subject btw. I like how at the end you threw in some of the business side of your photography. Could you do a video on how you market yourself (besides the fro), get clients, other rates, and how you talk to the client about the whole process and what they can expect. thanks.

  • All of them natural light?

  • Did the photographer use a flash?

  • Cool videos. ...
