Why doesn't most of Britain like her? I've never heard of her before this film, but many have commented that she's quite controversial.

@komradhall, Seems like trying to make a progressive, woman-power type flick with a liberal bleeding heart playing the main role. when really Tatcher was a hard-lined mega conservative. I'd think it's her admirer's who have the most to fear from this film.

I think Michelle Wiliams has a word on this, until then this is just ONE of the good performances by a female actress in a leading role.

im pretty sure streep will be awesome in this film, but i cant get away from the fact that the film will probably ignore all the evil things thatcher did while she was in power (eg. closing the mines, ending the right to protest etc.) the americans will love it, brits will love streeps portrayal but in the end thatcher will still be the most hated briton of all time, and quite rightly so

To be Honest this looks FUCKING EPIC! I wanted to cry a bit when the people starting to hate on her in the trailer! Meryl Streep could get critical acclaim and probably an Oscar simply by this trailer! God how does she do it?!?!?
