This is an acoustic cover of the new Cheryl Cole song Promise This that was aired on the radio this morning by Chris Moyles. I hope you like my version. I only listened to the song for the first time this morning so wasnt familiar with it at all. Ive taken a few liberties and tried to put my own stamp on it.

@yowermutha Thanks so much for commenting. I think its interesting to try to approach a cover from an alternative angle. Im not saying a note for note cover is completely pointless because there is always a lot to be learned from taking on a new cover but putting your own spin on it offers something new for the listener and is more interesting for the player.

It's funny, I think so many pop songs out there have beautiful melodies and this one is no different. Whenever I hear one I like, I always see if there are any well done, stripped down, acoustic guitar covers. And I certainly hit the jackpot here! Gareth, this is really good. I also enjoyed your wistful look towards the camera at the end.
