This is a must-watch video for any lactating momma! I encourage you to try it out and let me know if it does anything for your supply as it did for me. This would be a healthy choice for those who are trying to pump extra for a freezer stash, are breastfeeding twins, become sick and are trying to keep up their supply, or anyone trying to keep up with the demands of their hungry baby : )

Different ways you can eat quinoa:

- Side dish as a carb to your meal. Cooks exactly like rice - for every cup of quinoa, double the water (ex, 1 cup quinoa, 2 cups water). Cover and simmer on low, stir occasionally. Flavor it with vegetable/chicken/beef bouillon and a bit of butter.

- Put into a soup. Make a vegetable soup, just throw in about a cup of quinoa and allow to cook for about 20 minutes.

- Hot cereal in the morning. Cooks like rice, so 1 cup of quinoa to 2 cups of water, simmer until tender. Add some milk, butter, and brown sugar, then maybe top it off with some yummy berries and walnuts : )

Throw into a stew. Sear cubed steak, pork, or chicken and put into a crock pot with some vegetables and seasonings and cook for about 6 hours. Throw in a couple cups of quinoa for the last hour of cooking.

You can also make a bunch of quinoa ahead of time and freeze to use later.

  • I just got this today and ate a cup of it lets see whath happens my fingers are crossed

  • @MigueLyDenise My fingers are crossed for you. Hope it works!! But the key to keeping up a good milk supply is to nurse baby by demand. Your body should produce everything he/she needs. Keep up the good work, momma!

  • Oh wow am going to try this I hope it will work :) thank u

  • @sweetdreamstoall Great! I hope it helps. But remember, it's all about supply and demand. Whenever a feeding is supplemented with formula, your body will notice the change and decrease the supply. Good luck!! xoxo

  • Wow, thanks! I'll have to try this before I bite the bullet and ask for Domperidone.

  • @eclark721 Also try oatmeal and tons of water. And remember, it's all about supply and demand. Good luck, hon!

  • Thank you so much ot dows work but my goodness i do not like the flavor.....lol i feed her every time shes hungry and also i pump while shes asleep to keep the milk coming. My husband wanted to feed her and feel closer so he gives her my milk instead of formula, it feels good to know its my milk. Hes feeding her and still getting the best.

  • wow momma thanks so much for sharing...i´ll definately try it and share it along...

  • @craftybabyhope You are so very welcome. I hope it helps you. Also try things like dark leafy vegetables like spinach and kale and also oatmeal and Mother's Milk tea; but remember it's all about supply and demand. Whatever baby needs, your body should provide. Try not to interfere during this adjustment period with pumping or supplementing, if you can help it. Good luck, momma!

  • I am going to pick some of this up on Friday. I am excited to try it and I will let you know if it worked for me. :) Thank you for posting this.
