This female Golden Eagle was injured by colliding with a truck in 1991. Her injuries were too severe to allow her to be released back into the wild, so she is now used for educational purposes. Please forgive shakiness in the footage, as it was windy & cold that day--it gets better after the initial shakiness. The lady who's speaking is Carin Avila, Education Director. • Oh, to clarify: No, she's not really tame, & yes, she'd probably bite.

  • Based on what they told us I would say, no. Apparently she's the last raptor the volunteers are introduced to, & she really only tolerates 2 or 3 volunteers.
