For legal reason i have to tell you not to do this, it is dangerous and bypassing the only safety feature is really really dumb.
This is how you modify the cheep turkey fryers to be "less safe" and allow you to go to temps above 140. This also allows you to use larger pots that might not depress the heat fuse button.
Once again I am not recommending that you do this. Safety is always important.

Hey, I'm assuming this is the Brinkmann one because mine is identical to yours. I have question though, how are you getting this to stay lit? When I hold a flame and hold down the red button, it lights, but as soon as I left go of that button the flame goes out.
