Sadly, In Ethan's Honor was claimed on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. In Ethan's Honor was purchased as a yearling by Scott Alberg and spent the next four years competing hard and even making his presence felt in the 2007 Breeder's Crown for 2-year-old pacers. Now 5, In Ethan's Honor gave Scott such tremendous joy throughout the years and all Scott could say following the race (with a tear in his eye) was, "He will be sorely missed." Named in honor of the late Ethan Barreto, In Ethan's Honor raced every race in memory of this brave little boy. We would like to thank all the connections of In Ethan's Honor as well as In Ethan's Honor himself for being such a consistantly hard-knocking racehorse and for racing in memory of a most courageous young man. We will never forget you - In Ethan's Honor. You made us all so very proud.

  • I've only watched horse races in movies and loved their stories... but I'm clueless on what "claimed" means on Ethan the horse's story! However, I hope all is well with you and your loved ones! My prayer goes to Ethan's family! RIP Ethan!

Good to know that there are nice people like you...keep up your great job! God Bless You, Scott! For the horse who raced in Ethan's honor...wherever he is... God Bless him too!

  • Wow!. I never seen these races with a 'vehicle' at the back of the horse. Just like the romans :P

  • What a wonderful horse Ethan was He came in third but I thought he was going to win coming around the corner,5 *****..Marc Jones..U.S.A.(Vocalist)

  • Aw that so sad :( Hes an amazing horse!

  • So sad that he was claimed. He gave that race his best effort, but Manzi set relatively fast fractions. I will miss watching him, but fortunately, you have more horses for me to keep an eye on!

  • Please pass this to Ethan' s parents~Your sons horse has given myself and several others I know a beautiful message in life~He gave Scott IMMEASUREABLE joy. Forget the claim $. His namesake is priceless and is still helping people like Scott,me,and MANY others even after his passing. Ethan and HIS horse will live forever in the hearts of gentleman and ladies forever.
