  • What a fuckin awesome tune, its still fuckin magic!!!!!

  • Saw the mackenzies more times than i can remember....was lucky enough to interview them all at various times....re the end of the band...all good things come to an end and at least we can say....we were there.....always remember their enchanting/mysterious entrance anthem to their gigs...mysteries of love by julee cruise....and then them breaking into open your arms....pure class!!!

  • @suggs59 "Happier and better place"; When was that?

  • The awkward moment when you realise this singer in this band is your song writing tutor at college and is actually pretty good. Should have showed us the stuff you wrote Martin

  • Bought at Red Rhino records ,York when the world was a happier and better place

  • shirley used to steal knickers from Miss Selfridge on Hanover Street, Edinburgh. we used to meet occasionally in bars around cerntral Edinburgh. Goodbye Mr Mackenzies Mums came to their gig at the Network on the 20th November 1989.

  • Love this song, got the album on CD about 6 years ago from a carboot for £1 along with, Rosie Vela - Zazu, Clannad - Angel and The Solider boy, and albums by Zerra One, Thrashing Doves, The Immaculate Fools, 18 Lovers Lane by The Go Betweens and about 10 mores, bargain city, and some quite rare now, lucky me LOL

  • man i havent heard this in years - was a uni fave back in the day. was listening to big area and it made me think of this - good to see you tube comes up trumps as my obscure 80's archive.

  • @buzzerboyo She left Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie and established Angelfish before joining Garbage. Do your research before you start throwing around accusations around that she pushed the band under the bus to get some money. HorusHeresy1982 is right, they clearly had far bigger issues to contend with.

  • can never understand why these guys never made the break through they deserved
