If there's one thing Paul McCartney is absolutely terrible at it is miming. So if you're not sure if it's live or mimed , it's likely to be live, for you can tell right away when he mime. A great example of McCartney miming is My Brave Face live at Countdown 1989

@xavierbaudet The live with out practice was Paul's complaint about his preformance at Live Aid. He said he heard it later that night on the TV and asked to redo the vocals which is what's on the official video.

I guess they felt that miming was cheaper because soundchecking takes so much time. And without a proper soundcheck you risk singing out of tune, and it gets difficult to sound like the record. He could have karaoked himself, using the original backingtrack, adding live leadvocals.

@lazydynamite88 he's mimed on TV alot because the tv places for some reason dont let people play live. even the Beatles mimed on TV on the ed sullivan show. and Paul has mimed a few times with his old Wings band- he refuses to mime anymore though which is good
