Part 1 of 2; 1952 British Transport Film "Journey To The Sea". telling the story of a British Road Service Atkinson with drag trailer's journey from the North of England via Preston, Chester and Welshpool to a boatyard somewhere on the Welsh coast (perhaps one of you recognize it!) to deliver a ships propellor. Including a stop at a greasy spoon cafe and a breakdown caused by an incident involving a horse drawn Romany caravan!

  • The Truck has an early St Helens registration DJ 8877 I wonder how it was Preston Based when there was a Depot in St Helens.

  • @amit79ful No, the big A stood for Atkinson. Albion had a kind of rising sun logo with the word 'albion' in it..

  • the roof is too low compared to todays trucks

  • @m648mvp i thought these were Albion trucks, are'nt they?
