In building the repertoire of her group, Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble, Founding Director Eileen Carson reached out to the masters of percussive dance from many cultures including the great American Hoofers, of whom LaVaughn Robinson was one of the greatest. She had the pleasure of having him as a guest artist in several of her productions and she and her partner and friend, Amy Fenton Shine, join LaVaughn here on one of his numbers at a performance of the Fiddle Puppet Dancers (who later changed their name to Footworks) at the Alden Theatre in McLean, Virginia in 1991.
