@j800r well, I think david has a stronger voice, and I agree with glenn beeing a technically superior vocalist to Coverdale. Although to me emotion is far more important than tecnhique.
well, I would argue that both coverdales voice and glenns voice are unique, but in different ways. both voices are instantly recognizable.. to me at least.. well, I think david can sing basically everything as well..
I do agree with him having a very powerful voice and INSANE range.. he truely shines!

@leppardsnake Coverdale does NOT have a stronger voice, and in truth, Glenn a far technically superior vocalist to David Coverdale. Coverdale has a nice, smooth, velvety voice best suited to blues and hard rock. Glenn has a unique, special voice that he can adapt to anything! Yet his strongest genres are soul and funk. That's where he really shines. Seriously though, he has a VERY powerful voice and an INSANE range for his age. Truely the greatest british vocalist of any genre.

Coverdale not too bad a singer but Hughes was the real powerhouse in Deep Purple & that from the bass player. Coverdales voice has gone he's now a has been living on his past but Hughes has lost nothing from his range Glenn is the real deal

I think david and glenn are the greatest vocalists on earth. Coverdale more power, yes... wider vocal range? dont think so...
he doesnt scream like a girl! girls naturally have a "highes" singing voice (and speaking voice) and glenn has a very wide vocal range, and has a very high registry. I think that is what you are picking up.
