Interactive LEGO Football -- 1999 -- Luigi Pagliarini and Henrik H. Lund
Initially named ILF - Interactive LEGO Football - the game soon become famous as RoboCup Junior.
Conceived and realized together with Henrik Hautop Lund was part of the Edutainment research we were used to run for the LEGO Company, at LEGOlab (University of Aarhus, in Denmark).
Amongst the other things it performed the "User Guided Behavior Based Algorithm" and the first "Infrared Light Ball".
It was first shown at the "Stockholm Cultural Capital '98" event and, later on, officially released - as RoboCupJunior - in June 2000 in occasion of the first European RoboCup in Amsterdam.
Nowadays, it is considered one of the most highly-educational technological games existing, and is followed and practiced by hundreds thousands users (especially school children), and widespread all over the world.
Furthermore, it has inspired hundreds of children oriented Robot Soccer Games, from industries all over the world.
The team developed both the idea of a LEGO MINDSTORMS based RoboSoccer, the Field, the Infrared Light Emitting Electronic Ball, and the Behavior Based System which leads the children when programming the robot in a very easy way.
