Yeh I totally see where your coming from, but when you have it on the front you have the bigger back wheels to push you. Also better for your neck from my point of view!

iTs true pushing in forward is better as the weight is transfered to the better rear tires as you go up the pile. On our farm we find a big bulldozer is better at pushing up the silo as it is more stable, can push more, and is heavier for compacting the silage so you get less spoilage.
we sometimes bcuk rake on the back, either got the front linkage is knackered or one of the tractors has got seized fittings. that deeres got some power up that clamp. what model is it?

it's a 6620 but when they first jot it they dynoed it at 180 horse
