  • Hey Jeni!

You can also try sheeps or goats milk products. A dear friend of mine can't eat cows milk product but is fine with the other. So just in case you wanted to try something different... :)

  • @TheresaCharlotte good idea! I didn't ever give that a shot.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video !!! I really needed to know this info because we think that Porter has this issue ! Porter started this around 1 month too ! I am on Day 2 of no diary and it is really fricken hard !! I am going to do it though. I just feel like I have nothing that I can eat now. I could use some suggestions on some things with Dairy, like did you eat butter ( I mean not by itself or anything ) Also, you probably have to avoid pizza huh? Thanks again for this video

  • @Parkerfur if you make pancakes for ex, just use syrup. I made myself a homemade soy cheese pizza once (I was desperate) and well... the first few bites were ok... but I had to stop (my dogs wouldn't even eat it)... lol... anyways, you will find ways around it. DONT CHEAT!!!!!!!! Then you will never know and you suffered this far without ever knowing for sure! So be good... again, I didn't even eat packages food with any sort of dairy in the ingredient list. Stick to it... HARD for at least

  • @Parkerfur 2 weeks...at that point you can try to bring things back in... like little servings of cheese, etc. You may be able to have some and just not drink fresh cows milk. I drank 1/2 chocolate 1/2 vanilla soy milk and that was great! There is quite a bit out there... stick with it! Hey... it's a great way to cut calories (-; lol... I lost most of my weight when I cut out dairy! Peanut butter helped me too!

  • @Parkerfur Oh... and soy ice cream! (= You'd be surprised by how much there is out there for people who can not do dairy... Oh and Junior Mints! They don't have dairy... along with other great finds from organic health food stores...

  • I'm so glad you forwarded me this video! I started dairy free yesterday and I'm going to cut it out for at least 2 weeks to see if there is a change in his 'colic'. At this point I'm willing to try anything that could help him stop the inconsolable crying.

  • Did Deacon have a lot of gas or spit up? We are having some major issues - he seems "colicky" but doesn't match colic symptoms exactly. He doesn't spit up quite enough for me to think it's reflux, but his gas is SO bad! Thinking I may need to cut out the dairy :/

  • When I was a young child I had a reaction to Milk protein, except I didn't have the usual symptoms that id normally seen. The reaction was I'd become violent, I'd screem & destory the room I was in such as pulling the matress of a single sized bed and pulling all the drawers out of a dresser. I could even flip a coffee table, the thing was I was a toddler (it lasted from 18 months to four & half) So normally I wouldn't be able to do those things. My mother cannot remember what it was called.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. I have a baby who is very fussy after feedings and I have a sneaking suspicion it is related to dairy. I'm going to try it out

  • @TheresaCharlotte if the allergy has bad reactions then it's best to just be safe and avoid all other animals milk. its good your friend can drink goat milk. i had asked my baby's dr about goat milk and she said she would most likely be allergic to it also. i think babies usually have an issue with all animals milk proteins but i guess older people wont necessarily.

  • @sarah20xoxo A dear friend of mine has a milk protein allergy and she has absoluetly no problem with goat milk. I'm not a specialist on the subject. I was just referring to what I have experienced. The thing with allergies (and intolerances) is that not two people are the same. Yopu have to find out what works.

And BTW with a lactose intolerance you allways have to take a lactase supplement! Dosen't matter if its cows jilk or goat milk!

  • @TheresaCharlotte i read that if a baby has milk protein allergy then its probably to goat milk also. milk protein allergy is not the same as lactose intolerance.

  • they say about 60% chance that a baby with milk protein allergy will have a soy protein allergy too. my baby is 3 months and supposedly has a milk protein allergy. i'm still waiting for her to get better all the way. i've cut out milk ingredient foods even bread, etc and pretty much all soy ingredient foods. she's been grunting while eating & threw up (not spit up) today & screamed so much. i think she either has another allergy too or i'm missing the allergen all together. yes the diet is hard

  • @CandidMommy he still can not have cows milk bu he can eat everything else and I can mix his soy with cows milk!!
