24 Countries in 6 months...

I'll be uploading episodes from my round-world adventure over the coming months. **see update below**

Next up: the Middle East

Do subscribe to keep posted on the next episode, and let me know what you think!

**07/2009 UPDATE** Sorry for the lack of new episodes! Any spare time I've had has been focused elsewhere. Long story short: instead of a YouTube series, production will hopefully be starting soon on a television series of my adventures. Keep an eye out for TaleHunter!

(Webisodes to be uploaded here ASAP, but it may be a while...)

  • 24 countries, 6 months? word of advice to anyone planning an extended travel trip: less countries, more time. you don't get to know a place or any of it's people by spending week there.

  • I usually reply to comments in private messages, but you bring up a very good point I'd like to address.

I definitely agree with you, avalanchesoul - I feel like I barely saw them.

However, this video shows highlights from my first trip overseas, and I like the idea of getting a sample platter to figure out which main course I'd like to take time with later.

After "previewing" 24 countries, I'd make a much different choice on where to invest 6 months compared to beforehand.

    Any thoughts?

  • @superflythaiguy you think just because you contradict something it negates it's value? i understand your "more open-minded than thou" mode of thought; it's just lame. anyone can argue anything from a deconstructivist stand point; but where does that get us? fuckin' nowhere. so stop pretending that when it comes to extended travel your idea of letting people learn the hard way is the best way. even the maker of the video agreed. so get off your "i'm so open-minded" high horse already.

  • @avalanchesoul Haha. I was just waiting for you to bring up the lame tourist vs. traveler argument. The fact that you mentioned it shows how simple and dichotomous your thinking is. Stop pretending you know how others should travel and what makes them happy when they do so. So get off your travel high horse already.

  • @qwertyfire yeah, this video is pretty sick. have you checked out the couchsurfingworld guys' videos? ok, but definitely not "killing it."

  • @superflythaiguy

under the guise of seeming oh so open-minded, you want to invalidate such a basic piece of travel advice pretty much everyone (who's traveled) and their mother would agree on: to take their time.

if all you like to do is "see the sights" and keep moving, who gives a shit. the advice i gave is directed to the mistake all first time travelers seem to want to have done differently. but hey, you wanna be a tourist, go right ahead.

  • @avalanchesoul Total BS in my opinion. I think one should travel at ones own pace. It's all relative, what is short to you may be long to someone else. I know when I travel I get bored easily. And on the note about getting to know the place or people or culture, its pretending you know what everyone else likes, should like, and what they should do. Everyone travels differently. I think as long as it is done responsible who cares how they do it.

  • @CouchSurfingWorld nah i think he "killed it"
