When I got my one I couldn't believe how well it worked, turned a pain in the butt job into fun I actually went looking for stuff to desolder and got carried away with it for a couple of hours. Very impressive bit of gear, mine has been going for a year or so now and I wouldn't be without it, just too easy.

@Mentorcase Hahah, that's exactly what I did too! All those years faffing about with wick and desolder pumps, its such a joy now with one of these. Thanks for the comment!

Hi, I've just bought one of these tools, I replaced my hong kong import which broke with one like this so i could get spares easily. I'm dead confused though, the tips are solid, they have no holes in them. The ebay seller says that all the tips they have in stock are the same also, they have no holes through them.
Am I being completely daft? but the tips should have a hole through them right lol

@MrHellbelly The tips are just soldered up for some reason. I powered the station on and set it to normal temperature, then gave the trigger a press and hey presto. You could also desolder the tip with a normal iron and wick.

@SpeedDeamon95 Not really. The tip is very wide and hollow. They make a dual iron and desoldering station. Its the Duratool D00674.
