You don't need expensive equipment to make your videos stand out in wide-screen format. Use this freeware converter to quickly make your Standard definition videos appear to be and play in wide-screen High Definition. With two encode passes in the conversion it is not necessary to play around with 'effects' as detailed at length in another video. Just use the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid) or you will never get anything accomplished.

This video was created after failing to find any easy-to-follow instructions that made the conversions easy and understandable. Feel free to rate your opinion and also subscribe to my channel at VirtualTourShop. Thanks for viewing!

  • Thank you! Any Video Converter is an amazing powerful FREE resource, and your video has really helped me resolve the image sizing issue. Thank you thank you thank you!

  • @bsantowski I'm glad that you found some benefits from watching the video. After a computer crash, I downloaded a different converter which I like even better. It's Freemake Video Converter. Google it ~ It's TOTALLY free!

It's worth your time to download it and compare the two. I'm sure you will like it much better and find it even easier to use. Along the bottom of the program it shows a whole bunch of options to convert it to and you simply select one.

  • It's not free anymore....

  • @FlyYoshi2600 I just looked at their site and they still offer a free download. It's still limited to about 10 or 12 minutes which is all that you need for most YT videos unless your account has been approved for unlimited length. I have since started using Freemake Video Converter which I like even better (and FREE). It converts and then uploads to YT automatically (if you like). That allows you to "set it and forget it' and do other important things.

  • That's just the point! You can take an SD video and convert it to what appears to be HD with NO major appearance difference! Compare the 640x480 narrow width photos in the video to the revised 1280x720 converted photos and you will see hardly any noticeable difference.
