Ummm, sorry but that could not be further from the truth. Look up the Herero and Namaqua Genocide that was committed by Germany in Southwest Africa (modern say Namibia) while they were colonialists there.
Having said this, Germans weren't the only ones who committed such acts; indeed most colonial powers in Africa did.
