Co-dependency & self-sacrificing behavior/advice for Chase

(P.S.: just to clarify... when I was mentioning how I kept my interactions "Platonic", & then I made a reference to something being "dangerous" ~ I'd misspoken ~ I didn't mean to make it seem as though Platonic relationships were dangerous! I meant to express that it is the Platonic that's preferable, while Chase is taking the dangerous route... Sorry about that!!)

One of my favorite quotes (that I didn't get to include in the video), is from a poem by Byron:

And the soul wears out the breast,

This is the poem that I mentioned:

Step within
This empty hall
Look at each door,
Stare at each wall.

Behind each one
A secret lies
Pain locked away
By her own eyes.

A drop of blood
A taste of pain
Means nothing now
All is the same.

Her past's contained
Within this hall
With pain secured,
Trapped by each wall.

Her open soul
Will welcome in
Whoever needs
Shelter within.

Whatever pain-
Should they bring more,
She works to heal
And leaves hers ignored.

And so she's used
Yet welcomes more
And locks her pain
Behind these doors...

Then comes the day
When all were gone
She's left behind
As they move on.

And here she stands
To be alone
With the only one
She's never known.

She grasps a door,
Opens it wide,
To find a child
Bleeding inside.

And with raised arms
She cries and pleads
For all the pain
To be released.

As doors open
Pain rushes by
And passing her,
It tears her side.

And as more's freed
It does the same
And though she bleeds,
She feels no pain...

Piece by piece
She's torn apart
And then one door
Exposed her heart.

From there it rips
Into her soul
And finds no blood
Just a vast hole...

There's one last door
In this hall of pain
So she looks down
At what remains...

And so she fights
For one last breath
To prepare herself,
To approach death...

Last door opens...
The pain draws near...
And all fades to black...
Sealed with a tear...

hello, I don't think you were Co-dependent, I think your just to nice for your own good and a bad judge of character, or another way of looking at it is you only see the goodness or potential in people which may not ever come to the fore.

You are what you think Purple Raven, Google Dr Emoto or messages in water, look beyond what you can see in nature.

I am familiar with Dr. Emoto's "messages in water"... It's some AMAZING stuff! I try to tell people about it all the time, too! :)
