Detroit diesel re power build 64 Chevy PU

Some photos and video of my 1964 Chevy 4x4 re power. Its a military 353 Detroit Diesel Higher HP then the stock 353. Dual oil pumps for extreme grades. 24volt start 12 volt running. 28 to 30 mpg. More videos to come. Im still needing to finish putting the raditor inlet and out lets to match the motor. But It works just fine now.

Could you tell me what your rear end ratio is and how tall the tires you are using are?

what did u have to do to get ur tranny to fit up

@f100stroker347 the bell housing was made for the SM420 trans my trucks stock tranmission. The 6 wheel drive army truck this motor was from used the same trans.

@NickyTballer all most all DD 2cycles are supercharged, So yes its supercharged.

@12valvepower1 Nope, center lobe on cam actuates each unitized injector. Fuel rack controls amount of fuel injected.

where can i get one of these motors complete tranny and all? i have the same truck i was gonna put a cummins but every1 tells me its much easier to fit one of these in it
