Hitler liked to dance.
There's a movie called "The Night of the Generals" where the main character is a Nazi and is played by Omar Sharif. :-)
Good video! Many of the points you make are points I've made before. In the infamous terrorist video where a hostage is beheaded, most people associate themselves with the hostage while watching the video, but in truth, we are just as much the executioner as the victim.

Would you be receptive to a video response? I enjoyed your video. You are very articulate and make a good point. I even agree with the general gist of what you said, but would like to investigate and discuss it with you.

Couldn't have said it better myself, you covered it all. That's why I don't use the word "evil" outside of fiction, not even for hitler. To dehumanize a person or group is to enroach upon ourselves a simplistic, black and white world view. Reality holds the unnerving truth that we cannot destroy a bad, without killing a piece of good as well, and every execution is a failure on our part to recover that good, born out of our human flaws and limits, but there's hope in the growth of knowledge

I guess it's also part of our own limited capacity that we see people as monsters, I 'm not educated in this field, but I think it relates to our ignorance, that we have to relate the good stuff to a positive deity, versus the bad stuff to some sort of evil being. Which is also the same basis that allows the human race to accept any theist principle, instead of just accepting the fact that most everything is man made. It's quite hard to comprehend that WE are responsible. Great vid MC!!!

Lol, you're one smart cookie. Like, I tell people about your videos, and they're like "why are you listening to some dude on youtibe?" But you speak the truth. You should teach classes or something.

Actually, that was quite good!

Excellent video!

What's interesting is that seeing others as non-human does harm, even when good people become mythic figures. If only monstrous humans are cruel, then we don't have to examine the potential for cruelty in ourselves. If people like Gandhi and MLK are super-human, then we ordinary folk don't have to feel guilty about falling short of their noble goals. It's a lazy cheat preventing honest introspection and conscientious living.
