I'm reading this book now, "Evolution: Only a Theory" (it's pro-evolution) and the scientists in this book have shown how information CAN be added to a genome. One example was a computer simulation, the other was a real-life example. I think the real-life example had to do with some fungi evolving the function to break down nylon and digest it as food. Called "nylonase". So I think it's incorrect to say that evolution means that the genome must become less complex.

@billy936 it is a bit of a misnomer, what I was pointing out was the flaw in creationists logic. But things to become more specific to the point where evolution cannot work on them any more. This doesnt have to correspond to a over all loss of information, but what we have seen is a different structure to said info. It is said to be polymorphic.
