Najum: Hey guys, Im Najum. Im gonna show you how to properly kick a soccer ball. Now, a big issue people have when theyre kicking a soccer ball is theyre always booting it with their toe. Now, you dont want to do this. The reason is. If youre kicking it with your toe, youre gonna have no control over where the ball is going. But you also run a huge risk of breaking your toes, which is not good. So, the proper way to kick it is. If youre taking a shot, you want to kick it with your laces, right down here. But if youre standing over a cross, youre gonna want to hit it with the ball of your foot, right there. So, that way youll get a nice curve on the ball. And also a big factor if youre making a pass. Youre gonna want to hit it with the side of your foot. This way, youre getting full control of your shots and your passes. Kicking the ball is when youre leaning forward. You lean forward over the ball, youre gonna kick the ball nice and low. Its usually a low-line drive. But if you lean back when you kick it, youre gonna loft it into the air. Alright now a big thing you need to also know when youre kicking the ball is that your non-kicking foot is gonna direct which way the ball goes. Now, Im right footed. So when I kick, my left foot is gonna direct which way Im kicking. So if Im aiming this way, my balls gonna go that way. So, thats a big thing to remember also. Whichever way your non-kicking foot is pointing, its gonna go in that direction. So, lets get out there. And Ill show you guys exactly what I mean. So when youre kicking the ball, this is how it should play. Youre gonna aim with your non-kicking foot. Get that direction. Now when you want to strike the ball, youre gonna want to nail it with the laces. And keep that going there. Now if youre gonna hit with the ball of your foot, youre gonna want to come up on it and nail it right with the ball of your foot. And that will help drive it. Now if youre gonna go for a pass, youre gonna want to come up on it and hit it with the side of your foot. Alright, guys. Hopefully these tips will help you out when youre playing soccer with your friends. Remember to not kick the ball with your toe. Youre gonna kick it, and its gonna go way out there. Youre not gonna know exactly where its going when you kick it. And youre also running a big risk of breaking your toes doing that. So remember. You want to kick it with your laces or the ball of your foot or the side of your foot. Depending on which type of shot that youre trying to do.
