BEAUTIFUL movie!! I know the guy had to die in the end (the movie is called 'Dying Young')

and that just broke my heart. Campbell Scott was PERFECT for his part, i loved it!!!!

I always thought the title was too morose, especially since it was released in summer (1991). Who wants to sit in a theater to watch a gloomy movie in the middle of summer? I think it would have done better as a fall release. The alternate title that was used in other country releases was "A Choice of Love" which I thought sounded much better. Yes, I agree, he was excellent in that role.

I think the best romance with Campbell Scott, is an old Hallmark TV movie called "The Love Letter", based on a Finney short story about a couple falling in love, across time. Yep, there are other variations on this theme: "Somewhere in Time", and the more recent "The Lake House."

Joel schumacher is the most underated director in the history of movie making !! It's time they honor this man and all his wonderfulness that he has put on screen for all of us to enjoy !!!!!

I have to confess that I don't like this movie that much. Although Julia Roberts brings such a breeze of fresh air to the melodramatic story. Gosh! She was so beautiful at that time. It was just after pretty woman. The red hair, the laugh... real hollywood beauty...already a movie legend!
