Ah is cuimhin liom an lá a d'fhoghlaim muid an t-amhrán seo i gColaiste Choilmcille i nDún Luiche ocht mbliain ó shin, an chéad amhrán a d'fhoghlaim mé as Gaeilge (seachas Baidín Fheilimí ar ndóigh!)......tá Clannad rud beag níos fearr silím!

@taristeach2 well not many people speak it. Hardly anyone teaches it here in america, and it was def dwindling when clannad broke onto the scene; people didnt like hearing some famous songs sung in that language. i would think only some in ireland, hopefully more, speak it, and a variation of it in scotland. but that isnt alot, esp compared to other languages that are spoken around the world.
-
@Gawaine687 Gaelic is not dwindling my friend!
-
it's sad that Gaelic is a dwindling language. It's so beautiful, especially when Clannad weaves it with their music.

Well i used to listen to this perhaps 25 years ago or so and just remembered it, i was expecting the song to be a bit of a let down now (as is usually the case) but WOW this is still so good.
