This was BBC's Nick Robinson during and immediately after the News at 6 seen losing his temper as a "peace protestors" sign. Irony? :) Full story here http://fwith.com/b0s
I think he was right to do it. No matter how nice the sign might have been message wise, it would have distracted from the news broadcast, especially seeing as it was being waved about it such close proximity. No one likes an idiot who prances around in front of the news cameras, good intentions or not.
The way rights are supposed to work is that you have the right to them until they encroach on another's right so no he did not have the right to do that even aside from theft or destruction of property. His rights were not being interfered with but then he interfered with those of the protester. I won't be partaking in further debate on this.
@AConcernedBlogger UNBELIEVABLE. you think it's okay to destroy someone else's property?!!!!!!!!!????? I guess your the kinda person who then condemns protesters if they damaged property! Hypocrite. surely his right to equally counter his speech would be to hold a placard of the opposing view up. THAT makes it equal. BBC is meant to be non bias anyway as its payed for by taxes and so hypothetically he shouldnt give his view whilst doing work for the bbc.
I respect him. I wish a few more politicians had the balls to do that. Too many weaklings in politics and media, too afraid to annoy the public. Nick was doing his job and protecting the impartiality of the BBC.
If you wave a sign in a guy's face when he's trying to do his job, what the fuck do you think will happen!?

@AConcernedBlogger I wasn't aware Freedom of Speech included the right to destroy other people's possessions.
