Access to health care is grossly unequal across Africa and the rest of the world. For example, in Ethiopia, where 381,000 children die before the age of five, the wealthiest fifth of the population receive four fifths of health spending, according to World Visions Child Health Now report. Improved access to primary health care is key to reducing preventable deaths in Africa.
